La selección de fútbol de Venezuela ha estado entrenando y afinando los últimos detalles para enfrentarse a la oncena argentina. En esta oportunidad estuvieron en el Babson College en Wellesley, Massachusetts.
La Vinotinto viene de dos victorias ante Jamaica y Uruguay, respectivamente, así como un empate con México. Un plantel veloz y eficaz en el contraataque que ha dado grandes alegrías a la fanaticada, que está ansiosa por ver nuevamente en la cancha a los dirigidos por Rafael Dudamel.
El argentino Javier Mascherano apuntó que los venezolanos llegan a los cuartos de final “en medio de un gran cambio, no apenas futbolístico sino sobre todo anímico” , después de dos victorias (incluyendo una sobre Uruguay) y un empate.
