The deputies for that circuit, Ismael García and José Trujillo, highlighted that more than 400 families have been affected in Mario Briceño Iragorry by the flooding of the El Limón River, and this is in addition to the “agony” experienced by the residents of Mata Redonda and other sectors of Southern Maracay, affected and threatened by the overflowing of lake Valencia.

This is the chronicle of a tragedy announced long ago, but the laziness of the regional governments in recent years in Aragua, have turned their backs on the people and instead of solving and avoiding a tragedy, they are promoting it with inefficiency with which they govern, said Garcia.

In this sense, he stressed that it is necessary to declare an emergency in these sectors of Aragua, pointing out that the aid should be destined to solve the crisis of the people, so they invite the church to serve as a mediator and a channel of help in this situation of so much alarm in the central state.

“Solidarity invokes us at a time when more than four hundred families lost everything, were left homeless and with nothing. However, the pandemic is another crucial element that is added to this crisis, because they cannot maintain the norms of hygienic security nor of biosecurity, because of the precarious situation in which they were left,” he exposed.
