“This is a date that has become significant for Venezuelans, all those who have had to leave their homes to overcome adversity,” she said.
The ambassador recalled that more than six million people have fled Maduro’s dictatorship and the Complex Humanitarian Emergency in Venezuela.
“They are also millions of exemplary stories, of workers, students, entrepreneurs and professionals,” she remarked.
Ms. Trotta Gamus reaffirmed the defense and struggle, for every Venezuelan who is outside the country, in order to deliver freedom to Venezuela and guarantee the free return of migrants and refugees to our nation.
“Our duty has been and will be, to work for every Venezuelan who is outside the territory, without respite in the fight, not even for a single minute,” she said.
Venezuelans are spearheading the second largest migration crisis in the world and the largest ever in the history of the region.
